Terms of use
Updated October 30, 2026
These terms apply when you use Kalila — the Mac app, the browser extension — and this website. They are made by Stillbyte LLC, Wyoming, USA (“we”). By using Kalila you agree to them.
The app and the extension
You may install Kalila on the computers and browsers you use, for personal and work purposes. You may not sell it, change it or present it as your own. The app, its name and its logo belong to Stillbyte LLC.
Translations are made by machine, on your device. They can be wrong: check anything important — legal, medical, financial — with a person who knows both languages.
Dictionaries and models
The dictionary cards are built from Wiktionary (CC BY-SA 4.0). The browser's offline engine and its language models are Mozilla's Bergamot (MPL 2.0). The licenses come with the app and the extension.
No warranty
Kalila and this website are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Stillbyte LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from the use of Kalila.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do; using Kalila after a change means you accept it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, unless the law of your country says otherwise for consumers.
